Martinis

CLASSIC GIN MARTINI

  • 2 ½ oz Gin
  • ½ oz dry Vermouth, to taste
  • 1 dash Orange or Aromatic bitters, optional
  • Lemon twist
  • 2 Olives, for garnish

In a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, combine the gin and vermouth, pouring more or less vermouth to your taste.

Stir for 30 seconds.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Add a dash of bitters, if desired.


CLASSIC VODKA MARTINI

  • Ice
  • 2 ½ oz. vodka
  • ½ oz. dry vermouth
  • Green olive or strip lemon zest removed with a peeler, for garnish
  • Optional: Freeze martini glass 15 minutes before making the drink.

For a shaken martini: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka and vermouth and shake until well chilled. Strain into a martini glass, garnish with olive or lemon peel, and serve.

For a stirred martini: Pour the vodka and vermouth into a mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with ice. Stir vigorously, about 20 seconds, until well chilled. Strain into a martini glass, garnish with olive or lemon peel and serve.

LEMON DROP MARTINI COCKTAIL

  • Lemon Sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • Zest from 1 lemon
Lemon Drop Martini
  • ¼ cup quality vodka, try a citron vodka
  • 1 ½ tbsp Cointreau or triple sec
  • 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice (Juice from 1/2 large lemon)
  • 1 ½ tbsp simple syrup (mix water and sugar, simmer, until sugar completely dissolve)
  • Ice
  • Lemon sugar, for glass rim
Make Lemon Sugar
Add sugar to a plate then rub the zest into the sugar with your fingers until tinted yellow and fragrant.

Martini
Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with the juiced lemon, turn the glass upside down and twist into the lemon sugar, set aside.

Add vodka, Cointreau (or triple sec), lemon juice, simple syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds or until very cold. Strain into the prepared martini glass and serve immediately.

APPLE MARTINI

  • 1 ½ oz vodka
  • ½ oz green apple schnapps
  • ¼ oz lemon juice
  • Apple slice, for garnish


In a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, pour the vodka, apple schnapps, and lemon juice. Shake well.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with an apple slice. Serve and enjoy.

 

DIRTY MARTINI

  • 2 ½ oz gin or vodka
  • ½ oz dry vermouth
  • ½ oz olive brine
  • 2 to 4 olives, for garnish


Add the gin or vodka, vermouth and olive brine to a mixing glass filled with ice and stir until well-chilled.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with a skewer of olives.

 

CHOCOLATE MARTINI

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz crème de cacao
  • 1 oz half and half or heavy cream
  • 1 oz chocolate syrup or ½ ounce grated chocolate, for garnish


Add the vodka, chocolate liqueur, crème de cacao, and half and half into the cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.

To garnish with chocolate syrup: Hold the martini glass at an angle. Tip the chocolate syrup bottle upside down with the nozzle pointing on the inside of the glass.

Squeeze a thin stream of chocolate syrup around the inside of the martini glass while rotating the glass. The syrup will stick to the sides of the glass once the drink is poured into it.

To garnish with grated chocolate: Place the grated chocolate onto a small plate. To another small plate add 2 tablespoons of water.

Dip the lip of the martini glass into the water to wet the rim of the glass.

Then, dip the martini glass lip into the grated chocolate, rolling it around to cover the edges of the glass rim.

 

SMOKY MARTINI

  • 2 ½ oz London dry gin
  • ¼ oz blended scotch whisky
  • Garnish: lemon twist


Add the gin and scotch into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled.

Strain into a Martini glass.

Garnish with a lemon twist.

 

SWEETIE MARTINI

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 2 oz Godiva white chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz amaretto liqueur
  • ½ oz grenadine
  • 2 oz half and half


Honey and sprinkles for garnish

Using two separate plates add a small amount of honey to one and sprinkles to the other.

Coat the rim of a martini glass in the honey first, then the sprinkles. Set aside.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the remaining ingredients. Shake vigorously.

Strain into into rimmed martini glass. Serve.

 

KEY LIME MARTINI

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • ½ oz key lime juice or regular lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Coco Real cream of coconut
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • Rim a cocktail glass with the graham cracker crumbs.


Fill a martini shaker with ice and put all the other ingredients in it.

Shake thoroughly and strain into a chilled martini glass.

Garnish with a wheel of lime or a lime twist.

 

VALENTINE MARTINI

  • 5 oz freezing Chopin Vodka
  • 5 oz chilled Ice Wine
  • 11 seedless Green Grapes
  • 1 tbsp fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 frozen Green Grapes

Add all liquid ingredients to a blender and puree. Strain into a cocktail shaker ½ full of cracked ice. Shake for a full minute and strain into 2 freezing cocktail glasses.
